The switch gear is Ellison oil filled, commonly used in the 1950’s and 60’s on industrial installations.
Weight of complete restored unit including frame 17.5 tonnes
Note the 2 No 3 core output cables from the Alternator.
Engine sourced from the Longwood Finishing Co, Huddersfield, from where it was removed in 2003.
The Switchgear is from the crushing plant at Johnson’s Quarries, Crosland hill, Huddersfield.
