6 speed gate change gearbox.
Coupled to a 1958 4 in line machinery carrier trailer.
These trailers have easy to remove rear wheel assemblies and with the rear of the trailer at floor level they were routinely slid under machinery which had been jacked up. The trailer complete with load was then jacked up, wheels refitted and ready to go. No need for the use of a crane.

This design of trailer became obsolete when plating and testing regulations were introduced in 1968. The rear wheels were classified as one axle, thus downrating it’s capacity to 10 tons, the GVW then became only 24 tons.
