The Harvey Frost 1 Ton Ratchet Jack in picture 6 is embossed with the name Dorman Long. They were established as a steel producers in Middlesborough in 1875 and by the 1920’s they were also into bridge building, the steel manufacturing business was nationalised in 1962 and the bridge building became the Cleveland bridge company, This jack could have been anywhere in it’s life.
