About

“This model of tractor has a 4 cylinder petrol/paraffin engine, 4.4 litres giving 26 horsepower. These handle start engines were renowned for breaking thumbs if the handle wasn’t gripped correctly (fingers and thumb at the same side).
Year unknown.
1 of 204,493 machines, built between 1933 and 1945.
The petrol tank is only small in relation to the entire fuel tank, petrol being the fuel used when starting the tractor. The paraffin tank contained TVO (tractor vaporising oil), only suitable when the engine was at its optimum temperature.
TVO has an octane value of 50 – 70 and is a 1 to 1, or thereabouts, mixture of petrol and paraffin (Kerosene).
Wide wings and steel wheels with Spade Lugs, define this as an agricultural model.
Whilst steel wheels never puncture, they make manually moving the tractor impossible.
